Apple finally brings an online store to Chile

For the first time, Apple users in Chile will be able to buy directly from Apple's online store from October 16, 2023.

Despite having an official site for users in Chile, Apple has not been able to sell its devices online. However, the company has now announced that its full Apple Store Online will be launching in the country on Monday, October 16.

"Hello, Chile," says the store online (in translation). "We have a lot to celebrate."

Apple has not given a time when the store will go online, but it is highlighting that flexible payment options will be available. It also says that free shipping will be available to all regions.

Rather than a straight list of regions, Apple does then take time to not only name them, but describe them. So for instance, it speaks (in translation) of The Rivers, "where the forests extend throughout La Perla del Sur."

Or Biobio, "where the waterfalls announce the arrival of the Saltos del Laja."

To mark the arrival of the online store to the country, Apple is offering downloadable wallpapers for Mac, iPad, and iPhone, with its new Chile design.

The launch of the Apple Store Online follows the debut of Apple Pay in Chile in August 2023.
