Arriving one day after the rest of the operating systems, Apple's seventh developer beta of macOS Sequoia 15.1 has finally become available for testing.
On Monday, Apple released a new batch of developer betas for testers to try out, including iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 with Apple Intelligence. Though macOS was the only one missing from the group, it has arrived one day later.
The seventh developer beta of macOS Sequoia 15.1 arrives after the sixth, which landed on October 7.
The main draw to macOS Sequoia 15.1 is Apple Intelligence, the Cupertino tech giant's push to introduce generative AI features to its operating systems. The initial wave expected in the first point release of macOS includes elements such as writing tools, Clean Up for Photos, and a number of Siri improvements.
The final release of version 15.1 is expected to arrive within weeks, possibly by October 28.
AppleInsider and Apple strongly advise that users do not install test operating systems or other beta or RC software onto "mission-critical" or primary hardware, due to the small chance of issues that could result in the loss of data. Testers should therefore use secondary or non-essential devices and make sure they have sufficient backups of any critical data.

Trying here as Apple support forums have been no help. I'm unable to make calls from my MacBook Air (M3) with iPhone mirroring. I have an iPhone 12 and the phone and Mac are fully updated. All other phone functionality appears to be good while using mirroring on Mac but when calls are attempted I immediately get a "call failed" signal within the mirroring app. on the Mac. Thoughts?
Hello
Failed to personalize the software update. Please try again.
I think that is a sign to skip for the moment the update..
I'm really curious when the widescreen (2x4k) screen sharing from Mac to AVP shows up. It would definitely make it more useful as a mobile display.
