Apple has unveiled its third new Apple Store in Shenzen, China, which is due to open on August 16, 2025.

The new store opens just a week after Apple made the rare move of closing a store permanently. That was the Parkland Apple Store in Dalian, Liaoning, and the new one is opening in Shenzen — a region that already has Apple research labs and also manufacturing.

"We celebrate the opening of Apple's Qianhai Yifang City retail store [in Shenzen] with excitement," said Deirdre O'Brien, Apple's senior vice president of retail business and human resources, in a statement (in translation.) "Customers can explore Apple's outstanding innovative achievements in this stunning new space."

"There are many customers across China who are passionate about technology and eager to use our products to achieve extraordinary achievements," she continued. "Through this brand-new retail store in Shenzhen, we look forward to communicating with more customers and empowering them to complete more important matters."

Apple says that the new storefront uses natural ventilation systems, wooden frames, and unspecified plant-based materials. It's all to reduce the store's carbon footprint, and Apple claims that it has achieved carbon neutrality.

The store is opening with a full Today at Apple schedule, which ranges from a series of daily courses on using devices, to parent/child learning experiences, and a summer camp. Details of the courses and a downloadable store-specific wallpaper are available on its official site.

This new store is the third in Shenzen itself, while a further two are in the wider Guangdong area. It follows the 2023 opening of Apple MixC Shenzen.

It also comes as Apple's iPhone sales in China have increased for the first time since 2023.
