A new immersive environment from the Disney+ Plus show "Alien: Earth" is letting Apple Vision Pro users explore the Containment Room of the USCSS Maginot.
In July, Disney Plus said it will be bringing a new immersive environment to its Apple Vision Pro app, along with a host of other interactive items about the new show, "Alien: Earth." Now, Apple Vision Pro users can use that content.
"Alien: Earth" is a sci-fi thriller based on the well-known film franchise. Set on a version of Earth controlled by a few massive companies, new terrifying life forms are encountered when a Weyland-Yutani ship collides with Prodigy City.
The new content includes the "Containment Room," accessed by the Disney+ app. Set on the USCSS Maginot, it contains interactive elements and serves as a thematic area for people to watch the show.
Along with the environment, there is access to digital extras, including panoramic super-resolution set photographs, Spatial Photos, and a companion podcast.
The "Containment Room" is the sixth virtual environment usable in Disney+ for visionOS. Previous areas include the Disney+ Theater, Tatooine, the Avengers Tower, the "Monsters Inc." Scare Floor, and a National Geographic collaboration in Iceland.
