The latest collaboration between Apple subsidiary Beats and Japanese artist Verdy is a limited-edition Beats Pill holder that will set you back $513.

Beats by Dre has worked with Japanese designer and artist Verdy in the past, including a "Girls Don't Cry" version of the Beats Flex in 2023. The 2025 collaboration is something that's a lot more playful.

The new Beats Pill speaker holder is, as the name implies, a way to display the speaker. The holder in this case is a Verdy character known as Vear.

Introduced by a video showing the character searching for food before wedging the speaker in its mouth, the final product is pretty close to the animated result. Vear has a large Beats Pill-shaped mouth, perfectly sized to fit the speaker.

This is quite similar in concept to the Beats figures used to promote the speaker. It's also not Vear's first speaker holder, as a previous iteration simply held the speaker in its hands.

Securing the collectible will be a challenge, as it's initially being sold in limited quantities on August 21 at Dover Street Market in London. It will also be made available elsewhere, including the U.S., China, and Japan later in the year.

As for how much the speaker holder will cost, MacRumors says it will be priced at 380 pounds, or about $513, including tax. You do get a Beats Pill as part of the package, which normally sells for $149.99.

The collab is the latest for Beats, which has seen a few for its updated speaker since its launch. This has included one with Kiko Kostadinov in August, as well as Kim Kardashian in October 2024.
