Apple has released "F1: the Movie" on the Store section of its TV app, ahead of its as yet unannounced streaming debut on Apple TV+.
Even as "F1: the Movie" is still being shown in theaters — and returned to IMAX ones too — Apple has made it available to rent or buy. The hit movie will next be released on Apple TV+ where it will stream for free, but it's not yet known when that will be.
In the meantime, Apple is following the typical windows for theatrical films, giving it an early but higher-price release. As of August 22, 2025, "F1: the Movie" can be bought for $25, or rented for $20.
It's available through the TV app's Store section on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Whenever the film is released for free on Apple TV+, it will still remain on sale and for rental through the store. But it will most likely revert to a lower cost, matching existing movies.
Note that the soundtrack album to the film is also available, this time on Apple Music. It's already charted commercially on Billboard's Top Movie Songs Chart.
In theaters, the film has earned in excess of $500 million at the box office worldwide. That makes it Apple's most successful film financially to date.
