On the latest HomeKit Insider Podcast episode, we preview the iPhone 17 event, talk about Chipolo trackers, and break down our Level Lock review, with guest Nikias Molina.

Guest host on this week's episode is Nikias Molina. Nikias is a popular content creator in the Apple sphere, running his own YouTube channel and hosting his podcast, Inside the Ecosystem.

This week was light on smart home news. We had two prominent launches to discuss.

Starting out, Chipolo finally announced updated trackers. There are the new Chipolo Loop and Card. Both new devices work with Find My and Google Find Hub.

The Slovenian company was the first to launch third-party Find My trackers. The new models are catching up with the rest of the industry by using rechargeable batteries via wireless charging or USB-C.

We also review the Level Lock Pro that hit the market. The new lock has an improved tech stack, an invisible door status sensor, and significantly improved battery life.

The rest of the episode was spent discussing Apple's iPhone 17 release event. We get into possible surprise announcements for the event itself as well as more far-reaching rumors heading into the next couple years as it pertains to the smart home.
