The Apple Store opening in Bengaluru on Tuesday expands Apple's new store design to a third location in India. Here's what it looks like inside.
Apple will be opening its third retail outlet in India on September 2, at Bengaluru's Phoenix Mall of Asia. Just before the store opens to the public, Apple has released photographs of the new location.
Apple Hebbal is located on F-39 F-43 within the mall, and occupies approximately 8,000 square feet of space. It's staffed by 70 employees from 15 states across India, with the store also carbon neutral and running on 100 percent renewable energy.
The first-floor location is similar in many respects to other mall locations Apple operates around the world. By contrast, its first India store, Apple BKC, is a thoroughly engineered flagship outlet that is thoroughly unique.
The large rear video wall for Today at Apple sessions is in plain view, as are the signature wooden desks covered with Apple products.
To the sides are the wooden units to stock and show off large collections of hardware and accessories for the iPhone, Apple Watch, and HomePod mini.
There's also the in-store Genius Bar, as well as a dedicated Apple Pickup area for online orders.
At the front of the store, glass windows are covered with a subtle peacock feather-style pattern, mimicking the downloadable wallpapers for the store. Apple has also released an Apple Music Hebbal playlist featuring local Bengaluru artists.
"We're delighted to open Apple Hebbal, a community hub that celebrates Bengaluru's spirit of innovation," said Deirdre O'Brien, Apple's senior vice president of Retail and People. "We can't wait to connect with people here and inspire them to create, collaborate, and do amazing things with Apple."
Apple Hebbal officially opens at 1 P.M. IST on Tuesday.
