Apple has announced a Beats by Dre collaboration with K-pop star JENNIE that sees Beats Solo 4 released in vivid red, together with attachable bows.

Following news that Beats Studio Pro are expected to be updated with Dark Slate and Pink colors, Apple has unveiled a shockingly bright red version of the Beats Solo 4. Beats is also continuing its long series of collaborations with South Korean singer/songwriter Jennie Kim, known professionally in K-Pop music and fashion as JENNIE.

"As JENNIE continues to break the mould, so does our newest collaboration," says Apple on its store. "Beats Solo 4 - JENNIE Special Edition headphones are now here, in a Ruby Red as vivid as her album."

"This new take on our classic ultralight on-ear headphone features two attachable red bows to match her Ruby era, as well as a colour-matched carrying case," it continues. "And for the first time, we've embellished one UltraPlush ear cushion, incorporating symbols inspired by JENNIE's music and unique aesthetic."

That symbol is a stylized "R" on the side of the headset. There are similar symbols on the ends of the red bows.

Beats Solo 4 JENNIE Special Edition is $199.99, and is available from Friday, September 5, 2025. It features up to 50 hours of battery life, plus lossless audio via USB-C or 3.5mm audio cable.

This release is a tie-in with both JENNIE herself, and specifically "Ruby," her latest album. That's now streaming on Apple Music.

Beats Solo 4 headphones were first released in April 2024. AppleInsider said that these are "probably the best choice for people wanting near-premium headphones in the Apple ecosystem without dealing with nosebleed prices."
