"F1 The Movie" is coming to Apple TV, letting fans relive the high-speed action from theaters in December.
If you've been waiting to watch — or rewatch — "F1 The Movie," it looks like you'll have to wait a little longer. Apple has just announced that the film will be available on its streaming service, Apple TV, starting December 12.
Apple released a new 38-second teaser video accompanying the announcement.
"F1 The Movie" follows the story of Sonny Hayes, a former promising Formula 1 driver whose career was nearly ended by a crash. Decades later, he returns to the track to help a struggling team while facing a talented rookie and confronting his past.
The film was initially released on June 27, 2025. It was later re-released to IMAX theaters in August.
During its theatrical release, the film raked in $629 million at the global box office. Apple proudly points out that "F1 The Movie" is 2025's "highest-grossing original feature, and the biggest opening for an original live-action film in the U.S. in the last five years."
"It's been thrilling to see audiences around the world embrace 'F1 The Movie' in theaters," said producer Jerry Bruckheimer. "Now, we're beyond excited to bring this exhilarating, cinematic ride to fans everywhere through Apple TV's unparalleled global reach."
"Partnering with Apple and Formula 1 has been an incredible journey, and we're proud that even more viewers, from every corner of the world, will get to experience the heart-pounding action and passion that defines 'F1 The Movie.'"

The announcement has been long-awaited, as the film broke numerous records, both for Apple and the box office. Not only is it the highest-grossing film by Apple Studios, it's also the highest-grossing film of Brad Pitt's career.
Of course, if you don't want to wait — or if you don't have a subscription to Apple TV, formerly Apple TV+ — you could always rent or buy the film. Or, if you're craving even more "F1" content, you can head to Apple Music to check out the film's soundtrack.
