Expand your Mac's connectivity during Black Friday sales by taking advantage of steep discounts on Thunderbolt 4 and Thunderbolt 5 docks.
The traditional Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales period is nearly here, making it a great opportunity to upgrade your Mac setup. One way to do that for a Mac mini or a MacBook Pro is to acquire a Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 5 dock.

These docks give you more ways to connect peripherals and other hardware to your Mac, increasing the port quantity and selection simultaneously. WIth some models, you also have sufficient power delivery to recharge your MacBook Pro while it's hooked up and in use.
What follows are five of the best Thunderbolt 4 and Thunderbolt 5 hub and dock deals you can pick up right now.
CalDigit Element 5 Hub
The CalDigit Element 5 Hub is essentially the Element 4 Hub that came before it — just with Thunderbolt 5 support instead of Thunderbolt 4. It has eight downstream ports, including three USB-A connections, two USB-C, and three Thunderbolt 5 Type-C ports.
That power comes from a compact 180W power supply unit. That is claimed to enable the hub to supply 90W to the host computer, plus 15W from the Thunderbolt 5 ports. AppleInsider reviewed it in April, giving it 4 out of 5.
The CalDigit E5 is an Amazon Prime Black Friday deal, priced at $199 after a 29% discount.
Anker Prime TB5 Dock
Using a Mac-like design to fit in with your other Apple hardware, the Anker Prime TB5 Dock has Thunderbolt 5 support for massive bandwidth. AppleInsider gave it 4 out of 5 in its review in May.
It has a total of 14 ports and slots, ranging from USB-C and USB-A to a pair of Thunderbolt 5 ports, HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 support, and Gigabit Ethernet. There's also SD and TF/microSD card readers as well.
Normally $399.99, the Anker Prime TB5 Dock is 20% off and priced at $319.99 on Amazon.
Ugreen Revodock Max 208 Thunderbolt 4 Dock
The Ugreen Revodock Max 208 has a fairly slimmed-down approach for a dock. It's an 8-in-1 dock, with three Thunderbolt 4 ports excluding the host port, three USB-A 3.2 ports, and Gigabit Ethernet.
It still manages to put out 85W of power delivery, thanks to its use of a 140W GaN charger. There's also support for dual 4K screens or a single 8K display.
Usually $249.99, you can get it on Amazon for $161.48, a discount of 35% under the Prime Member Price.
CalDigit TS4 Thunderbolt hub
The AppleInsider review granted the CalDigit TS4 Thunderbolt Hub a rare 5 out of 5 score. Some time later, it's still a top pick from us.
The TS4 has a total of 18 ports and slots, starting with a trio of Thunderbolt 4 and USB 4 connections at the back, up from two on the previous model. The Thunderbolt 4 port destined for the host offers up to 98W of power delivery, while the other two can go up to 15W.
The back also includes four USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 connection, DisplayPort 1.4, a pair of audio ports, 2.5GbE Ethernet, and a security slot, as well as power.
Around the front are two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, with one having 7.5W of power and the other with 20W. There's an additional USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, an audio combo jack, a microSD UHD-II card slot, and an SD UHS-II card slot.
Usually listed at $449.95, it's sold on Amazon under a Prime Member price of $303.99 after a 32% markdown.
OWC Thunderbolt Go Dock
If you want to ditch the power brick and do so cheaply, consider the OWC Thunderbolt Go Dock. While it's a little boxy, it does benefit from having the power brick built into it, reducing what you have to carry around.
The port selection includes the essentials, like a pair of Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A 3.2 10Gbps ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet connection. It also manages to provide up to 90W of power delivery to the host, so you can keep your MacBook Pro topped up while using it.
Normally $249.99, it's available on Amazon for just $179.99, a discount of 28%.
