Apple is celebrating the forthcoming opening of new, larger premises for its Montreal store with local art and an exclusive shopping bag.
Back in April 2024, it was revealed that Apple Sainte-Catherine would be moving to a new location. It was then expected to complete the move in February 2025.
Now the store is due to open at 10 A.M. local time on Friday, January 16.
According to iPhone in Canada, the new store is in a historic building at the corner of Sainte-Catherine Street and Rue de la Montagne. It's in downtown Montreal and appears to be considerably larger than the original Apple Sainte-Catherine.
"Our new store is opening soon on Sainte-Catherine Street," says Apple on its store site. "Still located in the heart of Montreal, our new location is sure to give your creativity even more space to flourish."
The store site is also promoting a "meet the artist" event with Catherine Potvin. She has designed a exclusive Apple logo, plus store wallpaper, and attendees will get an Apple shopping bag illustrated by her.
There are two meet the artist sessions with Potvin, taking place at 11:00 A.M. on January 16, and 2:00 P.M. on January 17.
Apple is offering the artist's wallpaper as a free download. It's also spotlighting Quebec creativity across Apple Music, Apple TV, and more.
Apple Sainte-Catherine in Montreal is named after the street both the original and new stores are located on. There is also a completely separate Apple Sainte-Catherine based in Bordeaux, France.
