The CES 2026 pre-show events have continued with Pepcom, as manufacturers vie for the attention of attendees. Here's the best stuff from the event.

While the main point of CES is the main tradeshow itself, there are also a series of sub-shows that take place before and during it. One of those is Pepcom, which is one of the mainstays of electronic events around the world.

AppleInsider paid its usual annual visit to Pepcom to see what's being shown off before CES itself reaches top gear.

Nimble

Nimble showed off what it called the world's first shareable battery, as well as a ton of Find My gear. The battery is a 10,000mAh unit that has a built-in USB-C cable, but it will magnetically come apart into two halves.

Each half has its own integrated USB-C connector, with one having a longer cable than the other. The key is that you can then pass one half off to another person, effectively making two 5,000mAh batteries.

Bring them back together, and they will connect, and the display will show the cumulative charge across both halves.

Eve

The Eve Thermostat is the company's first move into the North American heating and cooling market. It's a smart thermostat with Matter over Thread support, meaning it will appear in the Apple Home app and work natively from there.

The design is quite minimalist, with just a few buttons visible on the front and the digits of the hidden display disappearing from view when left alone.

When it ships, it will cost around $120, making it quite affordable and one of the few Matter over Thread thermostats on the market.

Satechi

Satechi introduced some slim keyboards that can be paired to multiple devices, as well as matching mice made with premium sustainable materials.

More impressive was the Thunderbolt 5 dock, which was the size of a Mac mini. The expansion ports include USB-A, USB-C, and SD card readers at the front, while the back has more downstream Thunderbolt ports.

The upstream Thunderbolt port is capable of 140 watts of power delivery to recharge your MacBook Pro. In the base is a space to insert an NVMe drive, adding external storage to your connected Mac.

Twelve South

Twelve South's new Valet charging station is made of a nice Napa leather top and a modular design. The edge can come off and be replaced with others, letting you quickly change the color and appearance.

Glasses, a watch, and a smartphone rest on a leather tray atop a table with a patterned carpet in the background.

Twelve South's new valet tray

As a valet tray, it has spaces for things like your wallet, cash, glasses, and other EDC items. Then there's the elevated charging pad with Qi2 wireless charging, providing up to 15W of power.

It also has an additional USB-C output for charging a second device. There's even a nice underglow light, which can make for a good effect in a dark room. You can preorder it now for $179.99.

LifX

LifX showed off some new Matter-enabled devices. This included a new dimmer switch, but the mirror was more eye-catching.

As a Matter-connected mirror, it has a multi-color RGB light around the edge, as well as backlighting, which can be customized via the LifX app. The Matter connection means it can be controlled by the rest of your smart home too.

A quartet of buttons can be set to change the light modes on the mirror itself, as well as to trigger scenes in your smart home. There's also a built-in defogger to save you from cleaning it too often.

iOttie

iOttie's four-in-one charger is a travel charger using the Qi 2.2 spec, meaning it can handle up to 25 watts of wireless charging. It also has an Apple Watch fast-charging puck, and a third for a tertiary device like an AirPods case.

iOttie's new travel charger

Uniquely, it's a charger that has Find My built in, so you can track it down if it's misplaced in your hotel room.

Aukey

Aukey is also doubling down on Qi2.2 charging, including the MagFusion DeskHive 5X Pro as a five-in-one charging station. Along with plugging in devices and using the wireless charging on top, there's also a display on the front showing how many watts is flowing through the charger to connected devices.

As for how much it can output, it can do up to 200W in total and up to 25W for the wireless charger alone.

Pila Energy

Pila's energy solution is effectively a modular power bank for your home, but one that looks really elegant, almost Apple-esque. It's something that could easily live on top of your refrigerator, complete with a display showing how much time you have left and how much power is in use.

You could also put it into a vertical mode, which is also striking, especially considering its available colorways and metal stand. A pair of socket outputs are at the base, as well as a trio of USB-C ports at the front, capable of up to 100W of output.

Hunter Fans

Over at Hunter Fans, there are two new lines, but they are going all in on Matter.

Hunter Fans

The Hunter Smart line includes four new products, including a smart wall panel with a dashboard mode that wakes up as you get near it. There's the Matter smart plug, a built-in wall switch, and a retrofit option, too, for controlling more standard AC fans without built-in smart elements.

There are also some new fans with smart integration with Matter, so you can change the direction of airflow and speed. The Zen line includes a bladeless fan, as well as three- and five-bladed versions that can work indoors and in covered outdoor areas.

Moft

Moft is finally shipping its Find My Wallet from CES 2025, but there are new designs for 2026.

There's the standard snap-on modular or foldable wallet, then there's another that acts as a tripod, and another that has a larger pouch than normal. One wallet on show had a really nice vegan leather material.

All of the wallets are MagSafe and Find My enabled, so you will be able to keep track of your cards and cash.

Anker Eufy

Lastly, Anker Eufy had several new power options available, as well as the new S2 robot that has come out. The robot cleaner has the ability to cope with high-pile carpets among its various upgrades.
