Apple is preparing to temporarily shutter its landmark Regent Street location as it lines up another refresh of its long-running London flagship.

London's flagship Apple Regent Street store is set to close temporarily starting at 6:00 PM GMT on January 11. Apple says the store will undergo "refurbishment."

There's no word on how long the refurbishment is planned to last. Currently, the store page indicates that it will be closed on the following Monday and Tuesday, but a longer closure is likely.

Until refurbishment is finished, customers can shop at Apple Covent Garden. It is approximately 1.6 kilometers — or a mile — from Apple Regent Street.

A decade ago, Apple Regent Street got another overhaul. The store gained an Apple town square layout, including a central grand hall filled with trees and its iconic double Italian-inspired stone staircase.
