On this week's episode with guest Brian Tong, we discuss the upcoming evolution of the HomeKit Insider podcast, and what we expect to see on Apple's March 4 special experience.

This week's guest host is once more Brian Tong. Brian is a content creator who has been covering the tech space for years, including securing high-profile interviews with Apple executives and co-hosting CES.

Kicking off this episode, your host talks about the future of the podcast. This will officially be the last episode ofHomeKit Insider.

The smart home news won't end though, as the show is rebranding from HomeKit Insider to Smart Home Insider. The new name retires the "HomeKit" moniker that Apple has also largely abandoned in favor of "Apple Home," while broadening the appeal.

Smart Home Insider will otherwise be the same show you've come to love with a series of rotating guest hosts. We've already booked industry experts, content creators, and executives to share their takes on the smart home.

As always, the show will cover a wide variety of smart home news with the Apple user in the center of our coverage, as well as in-depth interviews and reviews.

The news this week is otherwise light, with most of the episode focused on Apple rumors and updates. Leading the conversation is Apple's March 4th "experience" and the absence of the next-generation version of Siri.

Eventually, the topic turns to Apple's fresh 26.4 beta cycle. Even without any Siri updates, it's still has a number of relevant changes for smart home users like Apple TV being added to CarPlay and a fix for tvOS.

Finally, we dive into a recent rumor about Apple's work on AI wearables. While the wearables are the headline item, additional Apple Home devices were also tipped as being in development.

The episode comes to a close with Brian sharing the ins and outs of his personal smart home. While an Apple fan, his home is diverse with Alexa, Nest, and Siri devices all in the mix.
