Apple will add at least four new iPhone Apple Intelligence features to Safari, Wallet, and more when it announces iOS 27 this June.

That's according to a new report, which cites code discovered on Apple's backend servers. The new features are yet to be confirmed by Apple, but could bring additional functionality to a beleaguered Apple Intelligence feature set.

Apple isn't expected to announce the iOS 27 update until its June 2026 WWDC event.

If accurate, this report could give us a glimpse at how Apple intends to improve its in-house AI features. The company continues to play catch-up with Google and its AI-filled Android mobile operating system.

New Visual Intelligence features

Visual Intelligence allows iPhone users to learn more about their surroundings simply by pointing their camera at it. With iOS 27, the report claims Apple intends to add new capabilities to the feature.

The first change will allow iPhone owners to scan food nutrition labels and then, potentially, have that information fed into the Health app. We also imagine such data could be useful for healthy eating apps like MyFitnessPal.

Secondly, it's reported that Apple's Vision Intelligence feature will also gain support for scanning phone numbers and addresses. Those data points will then be automatically added to the Contacts app, it's claimed.

Apple Wallet and Safari upgrades

The report also hints at a new Apple Wallet feature that will allow iPhone owners to create digital passes from real-life tickets and cards. This could allow people to turn concert tickets into their digital counterparts on the fly, although it may depend on venues supporting digital tickets for this to work.

Finally, Apple is also said to be ready to add a new feature to Safari. Based on the report, Apple's web browser will be able to automatically name tab groups based on the tabs within them. We imagine a group being named "Cars" if it contains tabs for websites about automobiles, for example.

However, it's vital to remember that none of this is confirmed by Apple, nor will it be for some weeks. Code-diving in this manner relies on some interpretation. For that reason, it's difficult to know how accurate the report is until Apple announces iOS 27 in June.

The WWDC event is set to kick off on June 8 and run through June 12, with iOS 27 just one of the big announcements. New software is also set to be unveiled for the Mac, Apple Watch, Apple Vision Pro, and Apple TV.

The new releases won't be made available to the public until this fall, likely in September. The updates should be released around the same time that Apple unveils the iPhone 18 Pro and the much-vaunted iPhone Fold.

The MacRumors report cites developer Nicols Alvarez for the new discovery.
