Apple subsidiary Beats has introduced a bunch of new extra-long cables, alongside a collaborative version of the Beats Solo 4 with Jennie from the K-pop group Blackpink.

In a pair of announcements on Tuesday, Beats has introduced two different product variations to its catalog. One being a collaboration with a music star, and the other being an extension of an accessory.

The collaboration between Beats and Jennie, best known for her role in the K-pop sensation Blackpink, has resulted in the release of a new Onyx Black version of its popular headphones. The Beats Solo 4 - Jennie Special Edition was originally launched in September 2025 in Ruby Red, but now there's an Onyx Black version to match.

While they operate just like the usual Solo 4 headphones, the Jennie collaboration includes a pair of attachable bows for the headband, as well as a color-matched carrying case. One of the UltraPlush ear cushions also has embellishments, using symbols claimed to be inspired by Jennie's music.

In a statement from Beats, Jennie says the headphones are a second chapter that "truly represents my personal evolution and self-discovery," and that the first Beats drop was the "beginning of the story."

The Beats Solo 4 - Jennie Special Edition in Onyx Black will be available to purchase from April 24 from Apple's website, priced at $199. It will also be available from JD in China, Coupang in South Korea, Shopee in the Philippines and Singapore, and Studio7 in Thailand.

Longer cables

One year ago, in April 2025, Beats brought out a selection of premium charging cables with braided sleeves and an array of colors. One year later, it's doing the same thing again.

The 2026 cable collection differentiates itself by including ten-foot-long USB-C to USB-C cables. Just like the shorter versions, they have a tangle-free woven design with internal reinforcement to reduce fraying.

They are optimized for fast charging at up to 240 watts, and are supplied in Bolt Black, Surge Stone, Nitro Navy, and Rapid Red.

The collection in the new length is available from Apple, priced at $29.99.
