Apple on Wednesday released an initial beta version of watchOS 6.2.8 to developers for testing, continuing a new round of software evaluation in the lead-up to WWDC 2020.
The first watchOS 6.2.8 beta arrives just two days following Apple's release of watchOS 6.2.6 on Monday, an update that delivered various security patches and minor system tweaks.
Prior to watchOS 6.2.6, Apple in May issued a major update to its wearable lineup with watchOS 6.2.5. The release brought rainbow-themed pride watch faces to all users and expanded heart monitoring notifications to Saudi Arabia.
It is unclear what changes are included in the new 6.2.8 beta, but the software's version number suggests only minor tweaks and bug fixes.
Developers can download and install the beta using the software update mechanism in the Watch app on a paired iPhone.
