MagSafe travel chargers, iOS features that never arrived, and more smart home news on the HomeKit Insider podcast

On this week's episode of the HomeKit Insider podcast, your hosts discuss promised iOS features that never arrived, talk about some new smart home tech, and review some MagSafe travel chargers.

This week Onvis released a new Matter-enabled smart plug that is fully compatible with Apple Home. It isn't flashy, but it's affordable and will support many platforms thanks to Matter.

Apple now is on its fourth developer beta of iOS 17. There weren't any new smart home features found in this update, but we were curious about what happened to Apple's promised features.

The ability to use Find My on your Apple TV remote hasn't arrived in any of the betas and Home Key sharing, which was supposed to arrive in 2022, is also MIA.

While not specifically smart home related, your hosts did a mini-review of the new Beats Studio Pro and how they compare to the existing AirPods Max.

Finally, your hosts share their thoughts on portable MagSafe chargers. We went through a few different brands and styles to help power your iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch while on the go.
