Apple may be preparing a new iPad mini 7 for the fall

A prominent leaker claims that Apple is about to release at least one new iPad soon, and suspects it includes an iPad mini 7.

As well as reporting on a new pink color for the Apple Watch, regular leaker ShrimpApplePro claims without any detail that there is at least one new iPad about to launch.

It's far from uncommon for Apple to be preparing to launch new iPads for the fall. Yet previous reports from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo have predicted that the iPad mini 7 won't be released until 2024.

Other sources including Bloomberg agree closer with ShrimpApplePro, however.

Besides colors for the Apple Watch, the leaker was most recently a source for renders showing a unified volume and mute button on the iPhone 15 Pro.

Other than an estimate of when the iPad mini 7 will be released, most rumors about it have concerned the screen and how it may add a ProMotion display. Most recently, though, Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants claims that this is simply impractical.
