Release candidate of macOS Sonoma 14.3 is now available for developer testing

Apple has brought out its fourth developer beta for macOS Sonoma 14.3, expected to be the release candidate, with testers able to download it now.

Developers taking part in the beta test program can pick up the newest build through the Apple Developer Center or by updating Macs already running the beta. Public beta versions are generally made available via the Apple Beta Software Program not long after the developer versions are released.

The fourth beta arrives after the third, which appeared on January 9, while the second was released on January 3.

The fourth build of macOS Sonoma 14.3 is number 23D56, replacing the previous one, 23D5051b. For older devices, Apple has also shipped release candidates for macOS Ventura 13.6.4 (build 22G513) and macOS Monterey (build 23H1015).

Apple has so far not advised of what's new in the beta, and it's not entirely clear what has changed outside of the usual bug fixes and performance improvements.

AppleInsider and Apple strongly suggest users don't install beta operating systems or other beta software on "mission-critical" or primary devices, as there is the small chance of issues that could result in the loss of data. Testers should instead use secondary or non-essential hardware and ensure they have sufficient backups of their critical data at all times.
