Apple will soon move into a 45,000-square-foot office in Coral Gables just south of Miami, and it is expected to open a new store nearby.
Apple Park may be an enormous office building that can hold 12,000 employees, but that's not the only place Apple does business. It has corporate offices across the United States, and it seems another large office could open soon.
According to a report from Bloomberg, Apple is taking 45,000 square feet in an office building in Coral Gables, a location just south of Miami, Florida. The information comes from anonymous sources familiar with the matter, and no other details were offered.
Apple may also be looking to open a new Apple Store in the $4 billion Worldcenter development in Miami. It would join nine other retail locations in the Miami area.
The company has been slowly expanding its presence on the East Coast. A massive 700,000-square-foot campus is also planned for North Carolina, but it appears to be stuck in construction limbo.
There is already a small office in Miami that is focused on business in Latin America and App Store advertising. There is no news on what the new office space will be used for.

Stores, fine. Corporate presence in retrograde States like Florida and Texas should be minimized.
