On this episode of the HomeKit Insider Podcast, we check out a new humidifier that uses moss, new Matter products, and Sonos' giant app update.
Sonos is prepping a major new update for its iOS app, set to launch on May 7. This overhaul has a redesigned Home Screen experience with no more tab bar navigation.
It puts trending albums, songs, and playlists at the forefront alongside your devices and streaming services you subscribe to.
Meross is readying a new presence sensor, including support for Matter. It will include a mmWave doppler radar for presence sensing, a PIR sensor for motion, and a light sensor.
It was spotted on the overarching organization of Matter's website. We expect to see this launch soon.
Nanoleaf had a leak of its own, showing a new LED light strip on its YouTube channel that still hasn't been made official on its website. It's a Matter-over-Wi-Fi 5 meter light strip with independently addressable zones and a redesigned in-line controller.
Pricing and availability of the new Nanoleaf light is still unknown, but should surface shortly.
Finally, Satechi has officially launched its Qi2 chargers, offering both a 3-in-1 and 2-in-1 with a foldable design that's great for travel.
We end the episode by going hands-on with the Moss Air, an air purifier and humidifier that incorporates a terrarium of living moss into the front with a unique method of control.
