Every year, right around iPhone release season, the IFA trade show takes place in Berlin. Here's the biggest new gear shown in 2025 for Apple users.

For 2025, IFA takes place from September 3rd through September 9th. Media days are held first and usually contain the lion's share of the announcements.

Compared to CES, which takes place in January, IFA has a larger emphasis on sustainability and the home.

Philips Hue

Signify had its largest Philips Hue announcement yet. It was full of more than a dozen new devices for use in and outside the home.

The updated Philips Hue Bridge Pro

The highlight was the long-awaited Hue Bridge Pro ($89.99). Now in a matte black finish, it supports three times the number of devices as before, and it can be hardwired over Ethernet or run over Wi-Fi.

Its core lighting lineup saw an upgrade, too. They can now dim even lower, require less energy to run, and support better white color representation.

As a bonus, its core lights will support Matter over Thread. That means they can be set up without a Hue Bridge if users would like.

Other newly announced lights include new light strips for inside or outside, hanging outdoor globe lights, and permanent outdoor house lights. Signify also introduced its long-rumored 2K video doorbell.

Some lights are available in September, but the rest of the lineup will be trickling out until early 2026.

Matter Wi-Fi

The Wi-Fi Alliance finally made its Matter spec official. After being announced as in development, router manufacturers can now start integrating Matter into their devices.

With Matter support, it ensures compatibility with smart home devices. This should solve the years-long problem of smart home devices losing connectivity with Wi-Fi or failing to connect out of the box.

Other benefits of the certification include WPA3 security, extending the life of IoT devices, better power management for devices, and more.

Satechi

Satechi was at the show to highlight its newest iPad accessories. The two new products are the OnTheGo Bluetooth Keyboard with Stand and an accompanying mouse.

The keyboard doubles as an iPad folio, wrapping around the front and back of the tablet when not in use. When you are ready to use the keyboard, it props up the iPad in landscape or portrait mode.

While in portrait mode, it also has extra space next to the iPad to prop up your iPhone as well. It works with Bluetooth 5.1 and supports USB-C and will run you $79.99 on its website.

The mouse is also Bluetooth and designed to be used with iPad, iPhone, or Mac. It's compact for travel and is a reasonable $29.99.

Aqara

In other smart home news, Aqara had a vast array of new devices to preview. There were new power devices for the EU, a new wired doorbell camera, and a battery-powered outdoor camera.

The G400 video doorbell is wired, compared to the two wireless ones the company already offers. It works with traditional wired installs or PoE.

Aqara has a bunch of new smart home devices

The doorbell supports Apple HomeKit Secure Video for video capture, has a 165-degree field of view, and has a 2K sensor. As an aside, 2K video is only available through the Aqara app as Apple Home only supports 1080P streams.

For the outdoor security camera, we have the G510. It's battery-powered with a 2.5K sensor and a built-in solar panel to charge the internal battery.

Anyone who uses the Aqara cameras will also benefit from the new Home Station M410. This hub is able to extend the range of Aqara's cameras as well as offer 24/7 recording onto a local hard disk, SSD, or microSD memory while also acting as a Matter hub.

Other devices being announced include a radiator thermostat and the Hub M200 that works as a Thread border router, a Matter bridge for certain Zigbee devices, and a Matter controller. The M200 can pull double-duty as an IR blaster as well via Matter.

The devices will start to roll out later this year.

Bosch

Bosch is continuing its Matter rollout, but this time outside of appliances. It now has its first robotic vacuum cleaner that supports the universal smart home standard, including Apple Home.

The Bosch Spotless robot vacuum and mop come in four configurations, with features varying between the models. The most high-end units have rotating mops to clean into corners.

They have 11,000 Pa of suction, laser navigation, and mopping. The docking station includes industry-standard features such as automatic dust emptying, mop cleaning, and heated drying.

Launch date and price to come.

Ecovacs

Smart home mainstay Ecovacs demoed its latest flagship model. The DEEBOT X11 vacuum cleaner has several improvements over the X10 model.

One of the biggest additions is the TruePass Adaptive 4WD Climbing System, which can help the bot overcome large transition strips between rooms. It can climb up to 4 centimeters in height.

The updated OZMO roller mop uses 167-degree Fahrenheit water to help tackle stuck-on messes while also sanitizing the roller as it goes. It's also able to intelligently switch between two different cleaning solutions based on the mess.

The docking station has new PureCyclone 2.0 Auto-Empty Technology. This is able to help remove the dust from the vacuum without the need for disposable bags.

Plus, as with its other flagship models, it supports Matter and Apple Home. Alternatively, it has its own built-in voice assistant.

It's available now in the US and Canada with a launch price of $1,299 in the US or $ 1,999 in Canada.

Gemini Google Home

While it didn't see a full release, Google took the opportunity ahead of IFA to tease a major new update coming to its Gemini AI assistant.

Launching soon, Gemini for Google Home will be able to handle multiple commands at once — for example, "turn on the kitchen lights and open the living room shades." It will also offer a range of additional features, like step-by-step cooking assistance

This highlights how far behind Apple's Siri is ahead of Apple's own smart home announcements, currently rumored for the spring of 2026.

Dolby Vision 2

Dolby Vision 2 was announced at IFA, bringing a big upgrade to the gold standard of HDR specs. It will now be broken down into two tiers, with options for more affordable budget TVs and high-end installations.

One of the big changes to Dolby Vision 2 is the combination of Dolby's room-aware technology. It will help adjust the brightness based on the room's lighting, putting an end to user complaints of TV and movies being too dark.

Dolby Vision 2 will first be supported on Hisense TVs, with adoption expected to increase soon after. Apple will also need to support Dolby Vision 2 on its Apple TV, which currently supports the original version of Dolby Vision.

Arlo

New AI abilities are coming to Arlo's new lineup of cameras. During IFA, Arlo announced the third generation of its Essentials line while also previewing new 180-degree and 360-degree cameras.

Arlo updated many of its core cameras

The Arlo Essential Security Camera (3rd gen), Essential XL Security Camera (3rd gen), Pro Security Camera 2K, Pro XL Security Camera 2K, and Ultra Security Camera 4K (3rd gen) will all support Apple Home at launch when paired with an Arlo SmartHub.

All of those are launching on September 4, with the Ultra Security Camera 4K launching on September 25. Apple Home support will be coming to the Essential Pan Tilt Indoor Camera, Pan Tilt Security Camera, Indoor Camera (3rd gen), and Essential Security Camera in 2026.

Anker

Another company with a slew of releases was Anker, which had multiple of its sub-brands represented. They include Anker Power, Eufy, and Soundcore.

Soundcore is launching its new AI-assisted Sleep A30 earbuds. They're smaller than the competition and use both AI and ANC to cancel out snoring.

Also from Soundcore is its first AI memo recorder. It can be worn to record meetings, then use AI to summarize and provide action items afterward.

The new Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro launches soon on Kickstarter

Then it has a new portable version of its Nebula projector. The Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro is the first truly portable 4K theater system with a massive built-in battery and detachable speakers.

The A30 earbuds are available in the US with a global launch to follow soon. The Nebula X1 Pro will hit Kickstarter on September 23rd.

Under the Anker Prime brand, there is a new lineup of chargers. Each of them has a new AnkerSense View smart display with charging metrics and temperature.

The lineup features the Prime Charger, touted as the world's most compact 160W multi-sport charger. Then there is the Prime 300W Power Bank, which can charge two laptops at once, but also can recharge itself to 50% in only 15 minutes with its dock.

Finally, Anker has a new Qi2 charging stand with active cooling and up to 25W of power output for the iPhone 16. It's also the only one with a built-in display.

Many of the new Anker chargers are launching imminently in the US.

Another interesting announcement was the Eufy Marswalker. This is the first stair-climbing exoskeleton for a robotic vacuum.

It holds the Eufy S2 robot and carries it up the stairs, before removing itself and allowing the vacuum to clean the other floor. Once it's done, it carries the S2 robotic vacuum back to the charging station.

The Marswalker is set to launch in the first half of 2026.

Alogic

Alogic has announced a new 32-inch display with a 6K resolution and a Mac-compatible touchscreen, which the company says is the first of its kind.

The Clarity 6K Touch with Fold Stand is the first of its kind

Dubbed the Clarity 6K Touch with Fold Stand, the first thing you notice about this monitor is its huge 32-inch display. Add the premium-looking squared-off bezels and a glossy finish, and you definitely get Apple Studio Display vibes.

But that's where the similarities end. This monitor supports a 6K resolution of 6016 x 3384, which is more than the 5K resolution of Apple's monitor. The Alogic monitor has a maximum 60Hz refresh rate and 99% Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 support and tops out at 400 nits of brightness.

The Clarity 6K Touch with Fold Stand will cost $2,000 (A Studio Display starts at $1,599) when it goes on sale in the middle of October 2025.

Alogic also announced a raft of less costly displays, including a 32-inch monitor with a 4K resolution and touchscreen support for $1,800. The 32-inch Aspekt UHD 4K Touch doesn't have the fancy folding stand, though.

What the Aspekt lineup does have to offer is a special docking area designed specifically to house an M4 Mac mini. It also has built-in gigabit Ethernet connectivity and more. This monitor could be the closest thing you'll get to the clean looks of an iMac without settling for the 24-inch display, albeit at a cost. Both touch and non-touch versions are available, with prices starting at $1,300.
