Apple's "Underdogs" have returned in a new video, with the BetterBag crew weathering the storm of a convention battered by the Blue Screen of Death thanks to Mac security.

Each year, Apple releases an extended video featuring the "Underdogs," a group of coworkers dealing with a problem by using Apple products. The comedic presentation for 2025 directly takes aim at Windows, with its Apple at Work video "BSOD (Blue Screen of Death)."

Referring to the worst screen to appear on a PC when there's a serious error, the video follows the group traveling to ContainerCon. As they do, they pass by a street advertising board that shows the Blue Screen of Death.

After setting up their stand, they set to work trying to beat their rivals at the event. However, as the show progresses, other stands are suddenly showing the Blue Screen of Death on computer screens and other displays.

Amid a suddenly silent, dark, and blue event, the BetterBag stand is the only one still functioning. After some panic, a call from the company's tech support describes the event as a typical "PC failure," before assuring the team that their Macs are safe.

This includes endpoint detection and response tools to monitor for malicious activity, along with other kernel-protective systems which the PCs at the event apparently lacked.

"It's a PC problem, your Macs are secure," the support agent summarises.

As one of the few stands still open for business, the team gets to work dealing with attendees, scanning business cards with an iPad Pro, sharing presentations, and signing contracts. After a flurry of activity, the team goes against their previous intention to "crush" their rivals, and decide to help others.

BetterBag's support comes in to assist another team, providing them with a Mac mini.

After BetterBag secures a major client, the film ends with Mac minis being distributed to other attendees at the show.

While the video is obviously meant to promote Apple's security credentials, it also includes brief mentions of other features. That includes sightings of AirDrop, Apple Intelligence, Apple Music, Memoji, Apple News, and even Mindfulness Alerts for the Apple Watch.

Previous outings for the Underdogs includes their 2024 trip to Thailand to find a manufacturing partner, and 2023's "Swiped" tracking down a stolen MacBook Pro.
