It's not just MacBook Pro and iPad Pro stocks that are running low at retail — Apple TV and HomePod mini hardware is in short supply too.
Apple's product lineup is seemingly gearing up for a refresh. Low stock across major devices suggests an October announcement is close.
According to Mark Gurman, Apple is running low on several of its usual standbys. As he reported a week ago, this includes the M4 MacBook Pro, and iPad Pro.
And now, apparently the Apple TV set-top box too.
The Apple TV set top box is seeing very low inventory at Apple stores across the country, in addition to the M4 MacBook Pro and iPad Pro.

Gurman wasn't done with the Apple TV stock-out notice. He later followed it up with a post that points out the HomePod mini is running low as well.
Our own stock checks are mixed on HomePod mini and Apple TV availability. The pattern is similar to what we saw in January and April 2025, and there were no releases then.
Of course, if you've been following the scuttlebutt around the internet, none of this should be news to you. Apple's already officially teasing a new MacBook Pro.
This all said, it's not surprising that the next iteration of Apple TV is on its way — the last update came in October 2022. And the humble HomePod mini, which released in November 2020, is getting a bit long in the tooth.
Although Apple hasn't officially announced anything yet, it's safe to say that a new product release is imminent. Whether or not Apple will opt for a stealth drop, as is often the case, or a full-blown Apple Event, remains to be seen.
