A new MacBook Pro is "coming soon," according to a social media post by Greg "Joz" Joswiak on Tuesday.
The tech world is waiting for Apple to introduce a second wave of product releases, but the October launches have failed to arrive so far. However, an X post from an Apple executive gives hope that something will arrive soon.
The post by Greg Joswiak, also known as "Joz" on X is very simple, but communicates a lot. The text of the post reads "Mmmmm. Something powerful is coming."

It's accompanied by a very brief video, showing the side of a partially-opened MacBook Pro, mostly hidden by darkness. The video also shows a glowing Apple logo, and the words "Coming Soon."
The social message by the Apple SVP of Marketing is clearly teasing the next generation of MacBook Pro. The text is also a strong clue of what to expect, as it uses five M letters to represent the M5 chip generation.
While the post confirms new MacBook Pro updates are on the way, complete with the M5 chip, it doesn't explicitly say anything else. There's also no timeframe aside from "Soon," but it does at least hint that it will be an imminent launch.
So far, the rumors for the October launches involves a base-model M5 MacBook Pro, most likely the 14-inch MacBook Pro. Aside from the chip change, it is probably going to be a spec-bump update, meaning it could have storage and memory alterations, but generally appear to be the same as the current M4-based model.
