Major League Soccer fans will reportedly not need an Apple MLS Season pass to watch in 2026, which would allow an Apple TV subscriber to enjoy games without paying extra.

According to a report on Thursday by ESPN, Apple TV viewers will be able to watch regular-season matches, Leagues Cup games, the MLS All-Star Game, the Campeones Cup and MLS Cup Playoffs for no additional charge. The Disney-owned troubled sports broadcasting network cites unnamed sources.

As of November 13, 2025, soccer fans must pay for an MLS Season Pass subscription, whether or not they already pay for Apple TV. The subscription costs $14.99 per month.

This news also comes just weeks after Apple also announced that all MLS Playoff games would stream free to all Apple TV subscribers. Apple has also run various free trials and streaming events for MLS in previous years.

Apple recently announced that it will also stream Formula 1 race weekends via the same Apple TV service. That deal will run for five years starting in 2026, although only for viewers in the United States.

Similarly, Friday Night Baseball is already available to Apple TV subscribers at no extra cost. This left MLS as the odd one out, something that now seems set to change ready for the 2026 season.

Apple is yet to confirm the rumor that MLS Season Pass will be replaced by the main Apple TV subscription. It is not likely to comment on the rumor, until there is something to say.

The Apple TV service, recently renamed from Apple TV Plus, currently costs $12.99 per month. It's unclear whether Apple will seek to recoup some of the costs of streaming MLS by increasing that price.

Apple TV is also available as part of the Apple One subscription. Other Apple Services like Apple Music and Apple News+ can be bundled together for a single monthly fee.
