T-Mobile has announced that it will no longer offer free Apple TV subscriptions through its "Apple TV On Us" promotion, with the change coming into effect in 2026.
Back in 2022, T-Mobile launched its "Apple TV+ On US" promotional offer, which saw users of high-tier plans in the United States receive free Apple TV subscriptions. As of January 1, 2026, however, this will no longer be available.
In place of the soon-to-be-discontinued promotion, the cellular provider has revealed that Apple TV will be available with a $9.99 discount instead. This allows users of select plans to pay a $3 fee, which, with the $9.99 discount, equals the $12.99 monthly price of an Apple TV subscription.
As outlined on the carrier's website, the $9.99 Apple TV discount only applies to users with the following T-Mobile plans:
- Experience More
- Experience Beyond
- Go5G Plus
- Go5G Next
- Magenta MAX
- Magenta Plus
- ONE Plus
T-Mobile users can manage their subscription, review their Apple TV details, update billing, or remove the subscription via T-Life or through their T-Mobile ID.
For users who remove Apple TV from their account, T-Mobile will then no longer be their method of payment for the service. Those who cancel their T-Mobile plans will lose access to their Apple TV membership, according to the carrier.
The cancellation of T-Mobile's "Apple TV On US" promotion in the United States will almost certainly be a disappointment for the network's users. The move obviously isn't the only change to have ever negatively impacted T-Mobile users, though.
In October 2023, the company forced customers to more expensive plans instead of hiking prices, drawing criticism.
As for Apple's streaming service, it recently received a new logo, made using real glass, as well as a different name. Formerly under the "AppleTV+" moniker, the platform is now simply known as "Apple TV," which has caused some confusion.
Nonetheless, the streaming service continues to receive new content, with recent additions largely having to do with sports. Apple TV subscribers will, for instance, receive Major League Soccer games at no cost starting in 2026, while Friday Night Baseball will be available through 2028. Users in the United States have access to Formula 1 race weekends for free as well.
