As of March 11, 2026, all configurations and colors of the new MacBook Neo are in stock in Apple Stores, while most online orders are delayed up to two weeks.
Online, the MacBook Neo began to see shipping delays almost immediately after preorders began. Now some new orders are scheduled to arrive as late as April 2, 2026.
However, that's the case with stock on the online Apple Store. Apple always maintains a separate stock for retailers, and the stores will have all configurations — at least for now.
This is specifically for in-store pickup, which is an option on the online Apple Store. But at time of writing that is only telling buyers to check back later for availability details.
If you order online to have the device shipped to you instead of picking up in store, the current shipping dates for the 256GB model are:
- Silver: tomorrow
- Blush: March 20-24
- Citrus: March 20-24
- Indigo: tomorrow
It's the 512GB model that appears to be the most popular, as its shipping dates are currently:
- Silver: March 16-19
- Blush: March 26-April 2
- Citrus: March 20-24
- Indigo: March 16-18
Apple will never reveal how many devices it has had manufactured. But based on those shipping times, it seems Apple may have been taken by surprise over just how popular the Blush-colored 512GB model is.
Anecdotally, Apple appears to have sent chiefly the Citrus-color model to reviewers. Not all reviews dwell on the colors, but all were uniformly praising of how good the MacBook Neo is for its intended audience.
If Apple really is surprised by the MacBook Neo's popularity, that appears to be nothing compared to how the Windows PC industry has been shocked by it.
