Apple's latest update for macOS Sonoma 14.3 has finished its beta-testing process and is now available to download to Macs and MacBooks.
The first main update for macOS Sonoma in 2024, the version 14.3 release follows after the macOS Sonoma 14.2, which arrived on December 11. A macOS Sonoma 14.2.1 update landed on December 19, largely consisting of bug fixes.
The macOS release arrives at the same time as updates for iOS 17.3, iPadOS 17.3, tvOS 17.3, and watchOS 10.3. As usual, most changes occur on the iOS release, with macOS being relatively minimal in comparison.
Though the feature changes are minor in macOS Sonoma 14.3, the bulk of the alterations are behind-the-scenes related, such as performance improvements and bug fixes, as well as security updates.
The release build is number 23D56, replacing macOS 14.2.1, build number 23C71.
To update to macOS Sonoma 14.2, open the System Settings app, select General, then Software Update. If the update is available, click update now and follow the on-screen instructions.
Updating device operating systems tend to be one of the best ways to keep hardware running optimally and securely, and it is recommended to install them as soon as possible, if not setting it to update automatically.
