A questionable leaker has shared yet another image of the supposed iPhone 17 TechWoven case to show holes where a crossbody strap will apparently fit.
With the launch of the iPhone 17 just around the corner on September 9, the rumors about what Apple will launch are continuing to fly. They include accessories, with one rumored item being extremely persistent.
Continuing to press forward the claim that Apple will be bringing out a TechWoven case line for the iPhone 17 range, leaker Majin Bu has posted a new image of the cases. Posted to X on Saturday, the image shows the base side of five cases in a stack.
The cases all appear to have the same sort of fabric as shown in other TechWoven images, but the main reason for the shot is the number of visible apertures. The leaker addresses this with the simple caption "Too many holes."

The cases are shown with a total of seven holes in the base. The usual USB-C cut-out and speaker lines are present, as well as two dots in the corners.
At first glance, these appear to be holes that could be used for lanyard-style attachments.
Crossbody strap rides again
The concept of these holes isn't new, as they appeared in a previous leak on August 20 to do with alleged packaging. Shots showed the same holes in the corner of the case.
That same leak, which again stemmed from Majin Bu, also mentioned compatibility with a "Crossbody Strap." If true, this would mean Apple is creating a new accessory that works with its cases.
However, on August 28, Bu shared yet another leak to do with straps, including a nylon strap with magnetic ends. However, that strap is inconsistent with the fittings on the case as they are holes intended to loop cord or something similar inside, not for magnets to fit through.
Questionable reliance on magnets alone to keep an iPhone attached to a cord notwithstanding.
Bu's leaks on the Crossbody Strap also bring to mind a full-body sling design. However, some images seem to be of shorter straps for the wrist, rather than a neck-hung strap.
There's also the previous admission from Bu that some of their images are from third-party knock-offs, apparently cloned from Apple's official accessories. Given how many accessory makers produce straps well in advance to capitalize on iPhone launches, labelling them as an "Apple leak" is definitely clickbait in nature.
While Majin Bu is a prolific leaker, the quality of leaks have waned over time. This is in part due to a tendency of leakers to source leaks from elsewhere and repost them with little real extra guidance.
Bu may be trying hard to strike gold with TechWoven and to make people believe it's true simply by repeatedly hammering on the claims. The inconsistencies in their leaks aren't helping their cause.
