Adobe is bringing Premiere, its flagship video editing software, to the iPhone for the first time.
Starting September 4, users can pre-order the Premiere on iPhone app on the Apple App Store. It will be available as a free download.
This revamped version of Adobe Premiere combines mobile-first design with familiar tools from the desktop version. Users can trim, layer, and fine-tune edits with frame precision.
Automatic captions, stylized subtitles, unlimited tracks, and support for 4K HDR are included. These features are designed for creators working quickly on mobile.
Projects can start on iPhone and later be exported to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or Instagram with one tap. Files can also be sent to Premiere Pro.
The app offers automatic resizing for different platforms, ensuring the main subject stays in frame. This makes cross-platform publishing faster and simpler.
Premiere on iPhone also integrates with Adobe Firefly. Users can generate stickers, images, and video content using generative AI trained with licensed material.
A mobile recording studio is included, providing voice-based sound effects and enhanced voiceover recording capabilities. Additionally, Enhance Speech offers audio cleaning features, even in noisy environments.
The app is free to use with no ads and can be pre-ordered starting today. Some features, like storage or generative AI features, will require additional payment.
Adobe anticipates that the app will release on September 30. While targeted toward iPhone users, the app will also be available for iPad.
Users will need a device running iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 or later. It can also be used on the Apple Vision Pro, requiring visionOS 1.0 or later.
