Apple Cash just picked up animated, iridescent stickers inside the Messages app so you can hound your friends for that dinner bill while being a little too cute about it.

Apple began rolling out the update on December 10 as a server-side switch rather than a full iOS 26 release. Anyone using a recent iPhone, including iPhone 17 models and the iPhone 16e, will see the new set appear automatically in the Messages Sticker section.

MacRumors first spotted the new Apple Cash sticker set rolling out to users. However, we at AppleInsider haven't received the update at the time of this publication.

The update isn't actually a part of Apple Cash, instead it is a separate sticker pack that users can choose to ignore or hide completely. Sending and receiving money works identically, but now you can add a bit of flair if you'd like.

Apple Cash reportedly shows up as its own sticker pack in the Messages drawer, at least based on the original reporting.

  1. Open a conversation.
  2. Tap the + button next to the text field.
  3. Choose Stickers.
  4. Swipe until the Apple Cash set appears.

Each design leans into emoji-style reactions tied to money, with an iridescent texture that glints as the sticker animates. The effect matches the glossy payment cards in Apple Wallet, only shrunk down to chat scale.

Users don't need to download anything from the Sticker App Store. The pack arrives by default, sits alongside other system stickers, and works across standard iMessage conversations.

Payments often ride along with casual messages between friends, roommates, or family members. Apple knows people already send emoji or GIFs when they split a bill, so official Apple Cash stickers give users an extra option, plus it exemplifies that there are more sticker packs available in the first place.

This isn't Apple's first sticker pack either. The company includes stickers on iPhone for Fitness and the Developer app, plus there is a selection of classic Mac stickers in the iMessage App Store direct from Apple.

Apple could always take things one step further and let users customize their sent and received requests via Apple Cash. For now, they'll work as a little added step for those that know the stickers exist.
