If you've applied to attend WWDC 2026, now is a great time to check your email, as Apple has started notifying those invited to experience the event in person.

Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference is an annual event held in June at Apple Park in California. This is when the iPhone maker previews new versions of its major operating systems, such as iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.

Swift Student Challenge winners, members of the press, and a few lucky developers will get to experience the event in person. Those invited have already taken to social media to express their excitement and gratitude.

Developers are required to claim their spot at WWDC to ensure that it doesn't go to someone else.

Invitees will attend a welcome reception at the Infinite Loop campus on Monday, June 8. Apple's email to attending developers also says that there will be additional activities before and after the main keynote event.

Those who weren't lucky enough to be chosen to attend WWDC in person, meanwhile, were encouraged to watch the event online. Apple's WWDC 2026 keynote video will be available to stream on the iPhone maker's website, YouTube, and other platforms.

At WWDC 2026, Apple is expected to debut a chatbot-style version of Siri as part of the iOS 27 update. The virtual assistant still doesn't have the contextual awareness and in-app capabilities Apple promised at WWDC 2024, and subsequently delayed.

iPadOS 27, macOS 27, visionOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and more are set to arrive as well. The software updates are rumored to be performance-focused, as Apple is unlikely to abandon the Liquid Glass design, introduced with iOS 26.

WWDC 2026 is set to begin with a keynote video on Monday,June 8.
