TestFlight could come to macOS at the Apple Silicon event

It's possible that macOS may soon see TestFlight, with the announcement potentially coming during Apple's "One More Thing" event on November 10.

On Tuesday, November 10, Apple will hold its third hardware event in under three months. The "One more thing" event will likely be Mac-centric, and many anticipate that it will focus on Apple Silicon.

A leaker has come forward to suggest that that the Cupertino-based tech giant will bring TestFlight to the Mac during the event. The tweet was put out by Avi David, the editor of tech blog The Verifier, and then later quote-tweeted by The Verifier's official Twitter profile.

The Verifier is a relatively young venue, started in 2017, and has a mixed track record when it comes to leaks. The blog previously had stated that TestFlight would be coming to macOS at the 2019 WWDC event.

TestFlight, which was acquired by Apple in 2014, is a developer tool for prototyping apps with a small group of beta testers before launching the titles on the App Store. Until now, TestFlight was exclusively used for iOS devices such as the iPhone and the iPad.

It's anticipated that Apple will debut two new 13-inch MacBook Pro models at the "One more thing" event, as well. They may also release macOS Big Sur, "Air Tags", and even "AirPods Studio".
